Richard Scorer is 40 years old, a solicitor and a partner with a leading law firm in Manchester city centre, where he specialises in representing victims of serious injury, victims of crime and people with disabilities.

Richard was born in south London where he attended local schools. He studied at Edinburgh University and won a scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. Whilst there, he worked for the Democratic Party on their election campaigns. In 1992, he came to Manchester to train as a lawyer.

He is married with two children aged 11 and 9 who attend state primary & secondary schools.

Richard is a trustee of various disability charities and has been active in the community as a school governor and a community health council member. In his spare time Richard enjoys running and playing football and snooker with his kids.

Richard’s political priorities are:

  • A strong economy
  • Fighting crime
  • A cleaner, greener environment
  • Investing in education and the NHS
  • Improving public transport

Richard has campaigned for better support and compensation for victims of crime, for better disabled access to public transport and public buildings, and for better support for ex-servicemen and women.
